Gratitude! We were awarded the Historic Stagville Foundation Grant to support our programing, preservation and fundraising goals.

We were awarded a Marion Stedman Covington Foundation Challenge Grant for $5,000 to fund the much needed roof repair. The repairs were completed. Thank you all for helping us protect this venerated space and to preserve the building’s soundness not only as a part of history but as a historical depository. In keeping with its status as a registered historic landmark, repairs were made in accordance with ,“The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.” These immediate repairs were crucial in preserving the house while the Foundation continues to seek grant funding for long-term preservation efforts.
